25 Wellness Tips for Children

Hello all! Recently I have been asked what do I do differently when it comes to my children’s health and why. So I decided to write a blog explaining just that! I want other moms to be empowered and knowledgable when caring for their little ones, so if you’ve been looking for some tips and were not sure where to start, here is a good place!

Here are the 25 things I do “differently” when caring for my children:

1) Give a Vitamin + Mineral Supplement

Many people give their children vitamins, but what many don’t realize is that without minerals the vitamins have no building blocks to work with. Without minerals, vitamins cannot be absorbed and used properly in the body. Minerals are essential to balance the body. My favorite dual supplement I give to my children is the Nature’s Sunshine Vitamin and Mineral Supplement. I will link their website here if you want to check it out: https://www.naturessunshine.com?referrer=70961485&offer=NSP

2) Mineralize their water

A lot of our water has chemicals within it, whether it’s from farm run off, or from man made chemicals put into city water. Most of us are aware of this and filter our water. However, if you’re drinking RO or filtered water without re-mineralizing it, the water could be depleting your body of minerals because it wants to be mineralized, so it will take minerals from your body and not work to hydrate you. The best way to counteract this is to put Trace Minerals or Ionic Minerals in your filtered water to re-mineralize it before drinking. This also helps you or your children to get their minerals in for the day. You can get Ionic Minerals through my Nature’s Sunshine link, or if you sign up with me through Full Script, or by ordering Spectra Min by Energetic through my store as well.

3) Putting Redmond’s Salt on their food

I use Celtic Salt on my kid’s food instead of regular iodized table salt. Regular table salt which is mainly sodium chloride cannot be used by the body. So instead, use salt that has not been processed so your children can get the minerals they need from it. I salt as much of their food as I can with this and keep it right by the stove. You can get this salt through my link here: https://glnk.io/oq72y/balancedlivingbyamber

4) I muscle test them to see what minerals they’re lacking

My older child was having horrible cramps at night and I found out she was lacking magnesium. My younger child always had blue under her eyes and else where, along with other symptoms that point to an iron deficiency. Through muscle testing I found out she was prone to be anemic and I now give her the cell salt Ferr Phos to help get her iron and tell her body how to use the iron. Sometimes when I am putting Silica or Iodine on myself, I will muscle test to see if they need some as well and rub it onto their skin. This takes practice to learn, but is a great tool you can use. I also muscle test little ones at my store.

5) I give them Ion Gut Support

This I give a few times a week, but has greatly improved their digestion and elimination. This has Humid Extract from ancient soil, which means more minerals for the gut. If your little one is having constipation trouble like my smaller one did, I highly recommend this. I take it myself as well. If you need help finding it send me your e-mail and I can add you to my Full Script so you can order it yourself for a discount.

6) I give them healthy fats

I use Barley’s Omega with Flex Seed Oil which is flavored and they love to eat by the spoonful. This is great for the brain and nerves. I also cook with real butter and other healthy oils like olive oil and avocado oil. I do NOT use unhealthy oils that will eat the myelin sheath like vegetable or canola oil.

7) I give them Probiotics daily

Your health starts in your gut! This also helps with digestion, and allows the digestive system to continue working as it should. This helps to keep the gut micro biome happy by keeping good bacteria present in the gut. My favorite one for kids is also the Nature’s Sunshine Probiotic, or else I also love Living Streams Multi-blend as well.

8) Give them Honey daily

Honey has antibacterial and antioxidant effects. It also has essential vitamins and minerals, as well as helping the liver, digestive tract, and more. This helps their immune system stay healthy.

9) Using Mineral Toothpaste

I switched from using Fluoride toothpaste to Mineral tooth paste. This remineralizes the teeth & so far my kids haven’t had a cavity since making the switch. Mineral toothpaste can help build the teeth, where fluoride tears down tooth enamel and also is poisonous to the body. The less exposure to chemicals the better, especially when we are dealing with as much toxins as we are in this day and age. One of my favorites so far for them has been Earth Paste, but there are many others out there.

10) I bathe them less often

I know it is recommended to bathe them daily, and many people do. I usually bathe them 2-3 times a week instead. This is important because it allows their natural body oils and healthy bacteria to stay on the skin and create a healthy environment. In the beginning I also thought of it as I am exposing them to less toxins their skin could absorb from the shampoo or body wash. However, now I switched their soap to Innersense which Is a natural brand, so I don’t have to worry about that anymore.

11) I avoid putting toxins on the skin

I avoid lotion, sunscreen, and other toxic products as much as possible. Anything that is put onto the skin is absorbed directly into the body. Again, the more toxins we are avoid for them, the better!

12) Avoid EMFs when possible

I have am EMF blocker by my wi-fi in my home. I also have a few EMF absorbers near my television sets and sticker ones on all our phones/tablets. Most households cannot avoid these devices, but we can use Orgonite or Shungite to help block it. Another thing you can use to help protect your child is spraying Yaro on them or in their mouth as well. Think about how much exposure they are getting around the clock, at school and at home; it is almost impossible to avoid.

13) Not vaccinating / antidoting vaccines given

This can be a challenging topic for people. However, it’s important I mention this because injecting the amount of heavy metals and foreign material into a growing body causes great damage. The heavy metals have no where to go, and find places that block cell receptor sites in the brain and else where in the body causing MAJOR problems. I gave my first child a few vaccines and had such extreme issues that I ended up antidoting all of them, which is possible for those who do not know. Also, I watched the series The Truth on Vaccines and read the book Turtles All The Way Down. If you want to learn more I would recommend those. I am not telling anyone what to do or judging anyone, just simply informing on what experiences I have encountered personally so far in my natural parenting journey.

14) Keep sugar down, keep Whole Foods up!

In today’s society it is very challenging to accomplish this one. So I’ll admit it, my kids eat sugar and more processed foods than they should by a long shot. I don’t allow guilt, shame or fear to creep into my life. Instead I aim for at least 50% of what I am feeding them in a day to be healthier foods, and I bless the rest! Keeping their bodies in balance with good mineral intake will allow them to have a better chance combating the imbalance that comes with eating “bad” foods. So that’s what I have decided to do, if I see someone give them a Lolli pop and a juice box, I don’t love it. However, I go with the flow and try to give them some protein and veggies at dinner :) “Do your best and bless the rest.”

15) Give them Elderberry!

If I know they are going to go to daycare or somewhere they are likely to be exposed to something, I give them Elderberry. If it’s flu season, Elderberry! They have anti-viral effects and can prevent illness causing organisms from entering the cells in the body. Now that I have had my kids home more and had more time to figure out their wellness routine, I can say over the last 7 months of still being exposed to things, they have only been sick one time and it was a very minor cold. I love Elderberry!

16) Add herbs to their smoothies

For extra nutrition or if I know they are in need of a specific herb, I add it to their smoothies or yogurt! They don’t notice it at all and I am able to easily get them more B vitamins or whatever it is I am trying to accomplish. Love this little hack for adding additional nutrition and support. I do a lot of alfalfa, dandelion, and horsetail.

17) Grounding Outdoors

When I take them outside each day, I try to keep their shoes off more than not if they will allow me to lol. This way they’re getting some pressure points on their feet stimulated by the earth, but mainly they can absorb the earth’s energy from grounding. The earth’s energy has a way of bringing the energy of anyone who is on It back into balance. Ideally you would have your littles do this at least 20 minutes a day. This also allows them exposure to fresh air and sunlight of course as well, which are equally healing.

18) Reflexology

Since learning reflexology, I now know that because we walk indoors often or with shoes on it can affect our health. Back before the modern world, we would have much exposure to the earth which stimulated all the nerves in our feet that connect to our organs, glands, and other body parts which will help keep the body tuned up. Now, we hardly get any stimulation to our feet and it shows. Every other night I do reflexology for about 10 minutes on each child’s feet to help keep their body stimulated and in good working order.

19) I diffuse Essential Oils

I love to diffuse Gentle Baby essential oil, or other ones safe for children before bed time. Essential Oils have a cellular healing effect on our bodies and most have antibacterial, antimicrobial, and many other healing elements. This is a great way to calm them before bed and to also give them some of the benefits these oils have to offer.

20) I give them Flower Essences

I take flower essences daily, so usually I just give them some of the ones I take because some of the things they will need to heal internally would be passed down from mom anyway. I also will muscle test them to see which ones they need and give them those as well. Flower Essences help a person to work through deep emotional issues and can be helpful for little ones trying to learn how to be a person in this crazy world.

21) Chiropractor / Cranio Sacral

I love taking my littles ones to the Holistic Chiropractor to make sure they’re doing well. Many small children can benefit from chiropractic care and especially crania sacral. The chiropractor I use does both, and I believe it’s important to keep the body tuned up and in a healthy condition instead of letting these things go until we’re older. My chiropractor also helped me heal my younger child of a gluten allergen which is another thing I find important - healing the allergens. If you’d like to learn more about this let me know and I’d be happy to chat about it.

22) Sleeping Arrangements

I learned a lot about the mother - child connection when breastfeeding and how a child is affected mentally from this. Furthermore, forcing a child to sleep away from you, alone may work for some people but it is not the ideal situation for most. Sleeping near a parent creates a secure bond between the child and parent, and is important in that the child knows you will always be there. I have tried things both ways. Currently, my children sleep in their own room, but will come in the middle of the night to snuggle and I am perfectly okay with that. The main reason I am having them sleep in their own room is because I have a new baby on the way and my husband is on midnights so it would be challenging to keep everyone sleeping if they’re all in bed with me.

23) Frequency Music & Gratitude

In the morning or in the evening I love to play frequency music. It works similar to a sound bath in that hearing certain frequencies can help heal the body and keep it in balance. I really enjoy 428 and 532 hertz frequencies and will play them in the car mainly for myself and the kiddos.

24) Gratitude

I also like to do in the morning or before bed as well. It raises their frequency to talk and think about gratitude, and helps them to become more accustom to thinking of the positive things instead of the negative in life. This is a very important skill that if not practiced can take a long time to develop later in life. I usually will say a few things I am thankful for, have them say some things, and have them think about positive things as they’re drifting off to sleep.

25) Homeopathic Medicine

I use homeopathic medicine for illness and pain where I can. I often turn to Chamomile for teething, irritability, and such. I also use Hyland’s homeopathic for colds and flus when needed. I have found there is a remedy for just about everything, it’s just a matter of finding it.

Conclusion

These are the top things I do to help promote my children’s health and wellbeing and keep them in balance. I hope these tips were helpful to any moms out there who were looking for some more information. Please let me know if you have any questions and as always thanks for reading and continuing on this journey with me.
